Spring Break in Oregon

Today is the middle of our Spring Break here in Oregon. It has been relaxing, rainy and cold on most days so far. Last Friday, as we walked our students to the buses at 3pm, it started to rain. We have had at least one 24 hour period with over 1 inch of measured rain since then. We did see the sun briefly a couple of times! As a result of this Oregon sunshine there have been a series of landslides. The worst one happened this morning on Hwy 26, westbound. What that means that if we wanted to go downtown, to the airport, or anywhere on the east side of town we would not be able to get home without a lot of detours. At this time many people are trapped in the tunnel not knowing what is happening on the outside - much too scary for me. It's a mess out there - another reason to stay home and relax again today.

it's about time you updated! i was getting worried about you out there...sorry it is rainy there. it is also rainy here, but because that is semi-rare, we are LOVING it! brad mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday and he was nearly giddy. he loves having a yard. now, we just need to do some serious curb appeal...and interior appeal too! :) hopefully you can help me with some sewing projects when you come next month! hooray!
